WHY WAX?

Waxing removes hair from the root whereas shaving removes hair from the surface of the skin. We understand waxing isn't painless, but the momentary pain will give you weeks of smoothness. Depending on the body part being waxed, you won't need to come in for up to 6 weeks!

How long should the hair be?

At least 3 weeks. The longer, the better! If you've shaved within three weeks, you'll likely experience more pain and be left with stubble.

What wax do you use?

For any intimate services, we alternate between soft wax and hard wax. For other body parts, we exclusively use soft wax (strip wax).

How long does a brazilian wax take?

The waxing itself usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. Plan for a total time of 20 minutes to accommodate dressing and check out.

I've never been waxed. What should I do to prepare for my wax?

  • Make sure hairs are 1/2" long
  • Start exfoliating with a dry brush or scrub to remove dead skin cells on the surface of the skin
  • Don't apply any lotions or oils before your appt
  • Wear something comfortable and loose

Can I get waxed on my period?

Yes, you can get waxed while on your menstrual cycle. Just insert a tampon or menstrual cup beforehand. Bear in mind that you may experience more pain or redness if you wax while menstruating.

How often should I get waxed?

It's recommended for you to wax every 4-6 weeks. Consistency is key.

After wax tips

After waxing, your skin will feel sensitive and may be red. Some clients even get bumps. It usually subsides within the day, but I strongly recommend clients follow proper aftercare instructions 24-48 hours after to prevent ingrowns.

  • Don't exercise or sweat, no sauna/steam, hot baths, touching the skin, wear tight clothing. Avoid scented lotions/soaps. For intimate waxing services, no sex.

Once it's been 48 hours since the service, you can resume your regular activities. Make sure to exfoliate the skin 2-3x a week and keep it hydrated for optimal results.
